Tony Lamberti, the music supervisor for Spider-Man: No Way home, talks about how they enhanced the moment in which Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man captures and rescues Zendaya's MJ. Along with tom Holland, Zendaya, and Tobey Maguire, Garfield made his appearance from The Amazing Spider-Man duology. Based on Garfield's narrative journey, the movie alluded at what occurred to Peter Parker after his last encounter.

When MJ and Ned Leeds (Batalon) attempt to just use a sling-ring to locate Holland's Peter Parker, they mistakenly call Garfield's Amazing Spider-Man, who is then pursued by Maguire's comic character. When consoling Holland over the death of Aunt May (Tomei) in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Garfield and Maguire's Spider-Men confess their darker times regarding the failure of Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

In the midst of the conflict, MJ is caught in the middle, tumbling from the scaffolding in a scene that fans immediately recognised as a reference to Gwen's demise after seeing the trailer. Although Holland's Spider-Man is unable to rescue MJ, Garfield's Spider-Man dives in and grabs her, allowing him to forgive himself for failing to save Gwen and offering him peace. A sound engineer who collaborated on No Way home described how a simple choice transformed one of the film's most heartbreaking scenes.
