Dr. reddy is a world-renowned neurotherapeutics expert. He has produced 215 scientific papers, trained over 100 researchers, and authored/co-authored 440 talks, with an overall H-index of 55. Dr. reddy is a pioneer in the field of neurotherapeutics, having developed neurosteroid therapy for brain problems. His finding of neurosteroids' effects at both synaptic and extrasynaptic GABA-A receptors represents a significant step forward in the clinical application of neurosteroids for neurological diseases.
Dr. Reddy's groundbreaking work resulted in the development of neurosteroid therapy for epilepsy and women's health, as well as the introduction of two brain medicines: I brexanolone, the first US FDA-approved medicine for postpartum depression, and (ii) ganaxolone, the first neurosteroid for epilepsy. Another drug developed by Dr. reddy is currently being tested in advanced clinical trials for status epilepticus, a life-threatening seizure. These medical treatments are actually life-saving, and they are improving the health of millions of people around the world.
