It's a known fact that Superstar Rajinikanth tasted flop with Pa Ranjith's Kaala, the political thriller. His 'Petta' was directed by Pizza, Jigarthanda and Iraivi fame Karthik Subbaraj and it was bankrolled by the biggie production house Sun Pictures.
