Navjot Singh Sidhu recently praised Kapil Sharma’s journey in an interview with Navbharat Times.

He revealed that Kapil first appeared on tv in 2006 looking like a 45-year-old, with no hair and a potbelly.

Despite his appearance, Kapil’s talent stood out when given the right platform.

Sidhu emphadata-sized, “Talent without opportunity is meaningless.”

🔹 The Struggles of Chasing Dreams

Sidhu shared how societal and parental pressures often discourage people from following their passion.

He said, “The biggest disease in the world is – what will people say?”

He used Kapil’s early days at Bhullar’s theatre society, where he earned Rs 100 for two days of work, as an example of humble beginnings.

Drawing a parallel with IPL, Sidhu noted, “A platform can turn someone into a star overnight.”

🔹 The Power of Sidhuisms

Known for his trademark one-liners, Sidhu’s quotes have become famously known as "Sidhuisms."

He recalled a memorable meeting with George Bush, arranged by Dr. manmohan Singh.

Bush asked him to share a quote on positivity. Sidhu said,

“Keep your data-face towards the sun so you never have to see your shadow.”

He stressed that his quotes aren’t planned — they’re spoken from the heart.

🔹 Sidhu’s Return to Television

After a 2023 sabbatical due to his wife’s cancer diagnosis, Sidhu is making a gradual comeback.

He launched a YouTube channel in april 2025 and returned to Netflix india with The Great indian Kapil Show.
