Recently, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Sajid said, "In the last 6 years, I have thought about ending my life many times. It has been extremely bad, in the sense that I have been out of work."
The filmmaker further said that despite getting clearance from the indian Film and television Directors Association (IFTDA) in the #MeToo cases against him, he is still struggling to get work. He also said that he has not had any work for a long time, due to which all the money has also been exhausted. Now he has to sell his house and is living in a rented house.
Recalling his struggles, he said, "I was 14 years old when I started earning because my father passed away and he left me and my sister farah khan in debt. Today, I wish my mother was alive and saw me standing on my own feet. I was more of a caretaker of her than her son. Life has been very difficult."
