Zee Entertainment Enterprises, the co-producer of kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency', told the bombay high court on thursday that it is working with the censor board on the issue of issuing a certificate for the film. The film was earlier scheduled to release on 6 september 2024, but it got embroiled in a dispute with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) due to the non-issuance of a certificate for the release of the film. The lawyer gave this argument.
Last week, the CBFC told the high court that if some cuts are made in the film as per the decision of the board's revising committee, then the film can be released. On thursday, senior advocate sharan Jagtiani told a division bench of Justices bp Colabawala and Firdaus Pooniwala that the issues are being worked out. He said, 'I believe the matter is being resolved between the CBFC and Respondent 2 (Ranaut's manikarnika films and co-producer)'.
