Sharvari Shares Aamir Khan's Praise and Her journey in Film
Sharvari has had an eventful year, with her horror-comedy Munjya becoming a surprise hit, earning over ₹100 crore at the box office, and her performance in Vedaa garnering critical acclaim for her portrayal of a Dalit woman. Her role in Maharaj, particularly her chemistry with junaid khan in the song "Haan Ke Haan," significantly boosted her social media popularity, while her dance number "Taras" in Munjya earned her the title of "national crush."
Sharvari emphadata-sized that she remains grounded despite her recent success. "I’ve waited for this moment for a long time. I don’t think this success will change me. My journey has involved years of auditions, rejections, and a desire to work in films. This experience keeps me humble and reminds me of the challenges I've data-faced," she shared.
She recalled a memorable moment with Aamir Khan, who praised her performance in Maharaj before she had even seen the film. “Aamir sir told me, ‘You’re very good in the film. You did a really good job,’ which gave me a lot of assurance,” she recalled, adding that his compliment reassured her of her talent.
Regarding the viral popularity of her character’s signature line, "mama maasi ka hi toh fark hai," she expressed her excitement. “I loved Viraaj’s character and enjoyed the dialogues. I was just having fun on set and never expected these lines to resonate so widely,” she smiled.
When discussing the balance between Munjya and the more niche Vedaa, Sharvari noted, “Today, films are simply stories, and audiences appreciate a variety of genres. It ultimately comes down to what speaks to me and what character I want to embody in the coming months.”
