Manoj Pahwa Shares How Akshay Kumar's Prank Almost Complicated His Marriage
Akshay Kumar is well-known for his punctuality and dedication as an actor, but he also has a reputation for being a prankster on set. Actor Manoj Pahwa, who starred alongside Akshay in Singh is Kinng, recently recounted a memorable prank that nearly caused trouble in his personal life.
During a shoot in australia, Akshay decided to play a trick on Manoj. After a day's filming, he intercepted a call from Manoj’s wife, seema Pahwa, and pretended to be Manoj. Despite Seema's quick realization that the voice wasn’t her husband’s, Akshay continued the prank by involving co-star Neha Dhupia. Neha pretended to be an unknown woman who nonchalantly mentioned that Manoj was "in the bathroom." Even with this elaborate setup, seema wasn’t deceived.
Manoj reflected on the incident, saying, “Akshay's prank was quite elaborate, but seema and I have been married for so long that we know each other too well for such tricks to work.” seema confirmed, “I wasn’t fooled at all.” This playful moment highlights Akshay’s fun-loving nature and the strong camaraderie he shares with his co-stars.
Singh Is Kinng, directed by anees bazmee and released in 2008, is an action-comedy film starring akshay kumar as Happy Singh, a carefree villager from Punjab. The plot involves Happy being sent to australia to bring back a fellow villager, Lakhan Singh, who has become a powerful underworld don. Through a series of comedic twists, Happy unintentionally becomes the new kingpin of the underworld, despite his aversion to violence.
The film, which also stars katrina kaif, Om Puri, Kirron Kher, and Sonu Sood, is known for its entertaining blend of comedy, action, and romance, along with a popular soundtrack that contributed to its box office success.
