Glam Divas Show no Qualms to Play Mom 'Characters'
Following glam diva Tammanah's portrayal of a mother in the dubbed film "Baak," attractive actress neha shetty took on a mother character in her most recent film, "Gangs of Godavari." It appears that glam divas have no problem portraying mothers on screen. "As it's just another role for them, there's nothing wrong with young actresses playing mothers," says director hemanth Madhukar, who also asserts that audiences are viewing films with a wider perspective.
He continues, "The days of actresses being typecast are long gone, and now, young viewers are connecting with new-age moms on screen because they see so many young mothers doing their work with ease in their workplaces or colonies." In the past, Keerthy suresh and shraddha srinath took on similar roles, altered the course of events, and experienced success. 'Penguin' is a fascinating thriller about a pregnant lady who follows down a serial murderer.
Director Eashwar Karthic adds, 'Keerthy suresh didn't bat an eyelid and was sincerely enthusiastic by the idea of 'Penguin' and decided to play the mum character. He continues, "She is very talented and played the role with ease." In a same vein, shradda Srinath demonstrated her acting talent as a loving mother in "Jersey" and as an experienced romantic in "Saindhav."
Actresses in their 30s, such as tamannaah and anushka shetty, have also jumped on the bandwagon to play fresh roles. Tammanah portrayed a mother in "Aranmanai 4" (Baak) since the film was a sequel and she was a good match for the role, while anushka shetty made an appearance in "Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty" as a pregnant lady because both roles were justified. hemanth says, "I believe that age is not a barrier for talented actresses, and they are expanding their versatility with different roles."
