In an interview with Instant Bollywood, the actor said that her name hasbeen mispronounced for a long time and that the correct way to pronounce her name is 'Ae-sha' and not 'Ee-sha'. Adding to it, she said, "Aaj tak yeh topic chal raha hai (This is a never-ending topic)." Esha then went on to say that 'Esha' is a sanskrit word meaning 'divine’s beloved'.
