Music composer and actor gv prakash Kumar and his wife, singer Saindhavi, have announced their separation after 11 years of marriage. The couple shared a joint statement on their respective instagram accounts, announcing their decision just over a month before their 11th wedding anniversary. 


GV Prakash and Saindhavi's statement

Prakash's statement read, "After much reflection, saindhavi and I have decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage, for the sake of our mental peace and betterment while preserving our mutual respect." 

He further requested privacy and added, "We kindly ask the media, friends, and fans to understand and respect our privacy during this deeply personal transition. Acknowledging that we are growing apart, we believe this is the best decision for each other. Your understanding and support mean a lot during this difficult time. Thank You."

The couple, who tied the knot in 2013, have a daughter named Anvi, born in 2020. Over the years, they have collaborated on numerous projects. gv prakash Kumar, who is the nephew of the legendary music composer AR Rahman, has a significant presence in the music industry, with his mother, AR Reihana, being Rahman's elder sister. 

Last year, saindhavi celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary by sharing a heartfelt post on instagram, including a wedding photo. She wrote, "It's been a decade since we got married butjust feels like yesterday. Happy 10th wedding anniversary to the love of my life @gvprakash. Thank you for being an amazing friend, anawesome husband, and an incredible father to our daughter.
