Manjummel Boys: After earning crores, 'Manjummel Boys' is now surrounded by controversies, producers accused of fraud

According to media reports, on Tuesday the ernakulam First Class Magistrate court had asked the kerala police to file a complaint against the film's producer as well as Parava Films and their associate Shaun Antony. This matter is related to profit sharing. Malayalam film 'Manjummal Boys' is one of the most successful films of this year. The film not only entertained the audience but also did good business at the box office. Amidst being in the news due to all these things, this film is now embroiled in controversies. Actually, a case of alleged fraud has been filed against the producers on behalf of the film's investor.

The court asked the police to file a complaint

According to media reports, on Tuesday the ernakulam First Class Magistrate court had asked the kerala police to file a complaint against the film's producer as well as Parava Films and their associate Shaun Antony. This matter is related to profit sharing. It is being told that 40 percent of the profit of the film has not been shared.

Shaun Antony was made the mainaccused

The complaint in this matter has been lodged by Siraj Valiyathara Hameed. Hameed alleges that the film producers had promised to share the profits from it, which they did not fulfill. kerala police has made Shaun Antony the main accused in this case. At the same time, after the complaint, the court also issued an order to freeze the bank accounts of the film producers.

40% profit share was promised

According to the police FIR, Hameed was promised a 40% profit share by Parava Films if he invested in the film. After this, Hameed sent Rs 5.99 crore to Parava Films' account and Rs 50 lakh to Shawn Antony's account. Even after this, Hameed had lent another Rs 51 lakh. The producers of the film neither returned the original amount nor shared the profit.


Did a worldwide business of more than 200 crores

‘Manjummal Boys’ is a film inspired by a true incident. The film tells the story of a group of friends who get trapped in a cave while on vacation. It was released on february 22, 2024. According to Sakalnik, the film has earned Rs 234.25 crore worldwide.
