The government of india has made a big decision for the visually impaired and hearing impaired people (people who cannot see or hear). The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued some new guidelines for such people during the screening of feature films in theaters so that even those who are not able to see or hear can experience and enjoy cinema. It is worth noting that last month itself, the government had sought suggestions from all parties till february 15 to prepare guidelines for these people, after which the government has now taken this decision.

Statement issued

An official statement was issued quoting prime minister Narendra Modi saying, 'Today, special attention is being given to creating new opportunities for the disabled and making them accessible everywhere. Our effort is that every person in the country should be empowered and everyone should get equality in society. So that our society moves forward together in the spirit of cooperation.

This facility will be available

According to the new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, all feature films will have to follow the new standards of accessibility within the stipulated time frame, according to which there should be at least one facility of closed captioning for those who are not able to hear. This means that the audio of the film can be read on the screen during every scene. At the same time, there should be a facility for 'Audio Captioning' for those who are unable to see. So that such people find it easier to understand the scenes of the film better.

Guidelines made after consultation with experts:

This facility for visually impaired and hearing impaired people has been released after in-depth discussion with experts and manufacturers. The statement said that this guideline has been issued for the development of feature films and to remove barriers as well as to ensure equal access for every person in society.
