Deepak Saroj, who gained recognition as a child artist in several tollywood films, has made his debut as a hero in the film 'Siddharth Roy.' Directed by Yashaswi, who has worked with renowned directors like harish shankar and vamsi Paidipally, the film was promoted as 'Arjun reddy 2.0.' The movie, targeting a youth-centric audience, was released on february 23.

The story revolves around siddharth (Deepak Saroj), who, at the age of 12, has read all the philosophy books in the world, lives without emotions, and follows logic. His life takes a turn when Indu (Tanvi Negi) enters his life. Despite his logical approach, siddharth finds himself falling in love and data-faces various conflicts, including the role of Radha (Nandini Yallareddy) in his life.

The film aims to portray Siddharth's transformation into Gautama Buddha, exploring his emotional journey of rise, fall, and realization. However, reviews suggest that the director struggled to bring this idea to the screen effectively. The film has been criticized for incorporating unnecessary drama and bold scenes, with comparisons made to sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Arjun Reddy.'

The director, Yashaswi, is accused of failing to make the emotional character relatable and understandable to the audience. Some feel that the movie lacks the necessary emotional connection, and the attempt to elevate the hero's character through forced scenes falls short. While deepak Saroj's performance is appreciated, criticism is directed towards the film's looks, cinematography, and music, which is composed by Radhan.

Despite its shortcomings, the film may find favor with a specific audience that appreciates boldness, humor, and romance. However, it is suggested that those expecting an intense love story or comparing it to 'Arjun Reddy' might be disappointed. The film's appeal is considered limited to a particular demographic, and family audiences are advised to approach it without high expectations.
