’12th Fail’ Out-shined ‘Animal’ For A Reason

As previously reported, uber-gifted director Sandeep reddy Vanga and actor Ranbir Kapoor's epic masterpiece "Animal" has received a whopping 19 nominations at the highly awaited 69th Filmfare Awards for 2024. However, when the results were released the other day, many people were surprised to see that the film got fewer prizes than expected.
While "Animal" won prizes for Best Actor, Best Score, Best Sound Design, and Best Singer, "12th Fail" won major accolades for Best Film, Best director, Best Actor (Critics), Best Screenplay, and Best Editing, surprise the film's supporters. Animal's box office success (over ₹900 crores) led many to believe that it would easily win accolades. However, the picture was a 12th failure in terms of prizes.
Many believe that the emotional and heartfelt element in 12th Fail, which is based on the real-life story of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, is what helped the film win several honours. However, Animal is a more larger-than-life story about the life of a millionaire who happens to be the son of a prominent person who has problems with his father. watch out this space for more updates in this regard.
