Famous actress Srila Majumdar of the bengali film industry has passed away. At the age of 65, he said goodbye to this world. She had been suffering from a serious disease like cancer for the last three years, due to which she died on saturday at her kolkata residence. There was a wave of mourning in the cinema world due to the demise of Srila. Everyone is missing him.

West bengal Chief minister Mamata Banerjee also expressed grief over Srila's demise. He said, 'Sheela was a powerful actress who played outstanding roles in many important indian films. It is a great loss to the bengal film industry and we will miss his brilliant presence. My condolences to his family.


Srila Majumdar was also known for her sensitive voice dubbing for aishwarya Rai in Rituparno Ghosh's 2003 film 'Chokher Bali' (A Passion Play). Condoling his demise, rituparna sengupta said, 'He gave many memorable performances under the direction of Mrinal Sen and other filmmakers'.

It is noteworthy that Srila was one of the favorite actresses of serious filmmakers like Mrinal Sen, shyam Benegal, and Prakash Jha. Srila worked in 43 films in her career. This includes Mrinal Sen's 'Ek Din Pratidin' (And Quiet Rolls the Dawn) in 1980, 'Kharij' (The Case is Closed) in 1982, and 'Akaler Sandhane' (In search of Famine) in 1981. Srila played an important role in this, which was also highly appreciated by the critics.


Srila also played important roles in shyam Benegal's 1983 film 'Mandi' (Market Place), Prakash Jha's 1985 film 'Damul' (Bonded Until Death), and Utpalendu Chakraborty's 'Chokh', which was released in 1983. Was released in. Srila's last film was kaushik Ganguly's 'Paalan', a sequel to Ek Din Pratidin. This film was also highly appreciated.
