For Hansika Motwani, the Lohri celebration holds a particular place in her heart, drawing her closer to her family. According to the actor, the event represents unity and joy via the rhythms of traditional music and dancing around the campfire. "The Lohri celebration has always held special significance for me. Punjabis celebrate the start of the new year, and my mother is a firm believer in this tradition. We begin our day with a walk and home, and then visit a gurdwara later," Motwani explains.

The 31-year-old adds, "Lohri represents unification and joy. We all gather together to enjoy the event with warmth around the campfire. It has significant value in our lives. The delight of being together, singing all of the traditional songs, and eating sweet delicacies around the bonfire is lovely. I enjoy maintaining the togetherness of both families. This is very unique... That is why I want to ensure that everyone is present at the event and sits down to eat supper. We make time for one other and celebrate special occasions.

She goes on to explain how she indulges in sweets without worrying about the calories. "I don't have a sweet tooth, but during the Lohri festival, I enjoy chiki, til ke laddu, and gajak..." "A little of everything, because they are only available around Lohri," explains the actor. Motwani, who married her long-term partner Sohael Kathuriya in 2022, is thrilled to create new memories with her hubby.
