Actor Sivakumar, karthi and surya could not come to pay their respects as their family was abroad at the time of his death. After returning to chennai from abroad, Sivakumar, karthi and producer S.R. Prabhu visited the memorial of Captain Vijayakanth and paid tribute in person. After that, karthi expressed his regret for not attending the captain's funeral.
