It was also remade in the kannada language, titled Kashi from village in 2005.Thalapathy Vijay was recently seen in the blockbuster flick Leo, which is currently the biggest tamil film of the year. Directed by lokesh kanagaraj, the film also features Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Trisha, gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Madonna Sebastian, priya Anand, Mansoor ali Khan and Mathew Thomas. The music in the film is given by Anirudh Ravichander. SS Lalit Kumar and jagadish Palanisamy have produced the film under Seven Screen Studio. The film was made on a budget of Rs 250 crore, and was able to collect Rs 620 crore at the box-office. It is the fourth highest grossing film of 2023, and the highest-grossing tamil film internationally, and was released on october 19.Rajinikanth impressed the audience with Jailer recently. It is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, and produced by Kalanithi Maran. The cast of the film also includes Vinayakan, ramya krishnan and Vasanth Ravi. It is the second highest grossing tamil film of 2023. It was made on a budget of Rs 200 crore, and was able to collect more than Rs 600 crore at the box-office, and was released on august 10, 2023.
