Kangana’s Dhaakad saw a huge loss for Box Office!
Reportedly before chandramukhi 2, Kangana-starrer dhaakad was a huge debacle. Reports claim that the producers of the film saw a loss of Rs 78.22 crore at the box office. kangana seems to be hoping to end her year with a hit at the ticket counter with the release of Emergency. The film is a biographical historical drama, directed and produced by kangana herself. The actress will be essaying the role of former prime minister Indira Gandhi.Kangana Ranaut hasn’t had a hit in the theaters in a few years now. Her latest release tejas has turned out to be another disaster for the actress. The film was released without much promotion. Even after the release, the word of mouth wasn’t strong enough for the audience to pull them to the theaters. According to latest reports by bollywood Hungama, tejas has recorded a monumental loss of over Rs 50 crore.Tejas also features a cast that includes Anshul Chauhan, varun Mitra, Anuj Khurana, Veena Nair in crucial roles. kangana was seen in chandramukhi 2 before Tejas. The film had high expectations pinned to it; but sadly, this also turned out to be a losing affair at the box office. The tamil debut of the actress also featured Raghav lawrence in the lead. The film had a decent opening but saw a downfall the following day and struggled to recover. As per trade reports, chandramukhi 2 ended its lifetime run at Rs 40.33 crore net at the domestic box office. It earned Rs 9 crore at the international box office, taking the tally to Rs 56.58 crore gross at the worldwide box office.
