Vijay’s ‘Leo’ is set to release in theatres on October 19 worldwide
Kollywood actor Vijay's fans were eagerly waiting for the audio and trailer launch of the most anticipated and expected film of the year 'Leo'. While it was in plans that the movie audio launch to happen on september 30, it has now been cancelled. The movie makers took to social media to state that the film will have no audio launch and that they have called it off.
In an official statement, the makers said, "Considering overflowing passes requests & safety constraints, we have decided not to conduct theLeo audio Launch. In respect of the fans' wishes, we will keep you engaged with frequent updates. P.S. As many would imagine, this is not due to political pressure or any other reasons." The makers also said that they will be sharing all the updates regarding the film through their twitter (X) account. The makers also clarified that it was only keeping in mind the safety constraint and made it clear that there is no political pressure or any hidden agenda behind this. A couple of says ago, it was rumoured that the production house Red Giant Movies has been pressuring Leo movie makers to give the distribution rights to them in tamil Nadu and which led the ruling party to not give permission for the event. However, it has now been proven false as the makers have made an official announcement.
Vijay's manager Jagadish, who is co-producing the film also took to social media to state that it was a hard decision made by the makers. His tweet read, "It is a very hard decision and We feel the same level of disappointment as each one of the fan will go through. Despite working out various options and tremendous effort, we had to take this tough call, considering the extreme overflow in tickets demand and prioritising the safety of the guests."
