Let's see if 'Infinity', released with the template for an investigative thriller about serial murders and a detective, catches the audience. A young woman, a writer and a police officer are killed one after the other in the city. An unidentified man is also killed in a bar. The serial murder cases are handed over to cbi officer EV Ilavalavan (Natti Natraj). After a few rounds of investigation, the hero learns that these three murders are connected. In between there are attempts to kill the hero. What is the connection between the three murders? Did the hero find the killer? - This is the story of the movie 'Infinity'. The trailer of the film which released last year grabbed attention with a perfect plot for an elegant detective thriller. But if you watch the movie based on the trailer, you will be disappointed. The murders at the beginning of the film, the cbi officer who comes to investigate it, the attempted murder of him, the screenplay that makes us sit upright for the first few minutes, and in the subsequent scenes, make us cringe and sweat in the AC. Be it in the making or the visuals, there is not even the slightest menace throughout the film. There is no logic or interest in the film, not even a single scene or medicine. In one scene Nutty and his assistant are talking to a doctor in a hospital room. There is a wall in front of him. There is no window. But, from somewhere, a mysterious person shoots at the hero with a sniper rifle. As the hero chases the mysterious person on a bike within reach, the mysterious person throws a small bag at the hero, the hero catches it and stops. A little more twist on the accelerator might have caught the culprit. Scenes like this are all over the film. It is not enough to have an investigative thriller plot in hand. Scenes have been put up without even a basic understanding of how the police department works and how cbi officers work.
