As a star, prabhas exudes the aura necessary to portray Rama. His eyes have a natural purity and serenity. Nevertheless, despite these advantages, prabhas falls short when it comes to the once-in-a-lifetime component. Characterization of prabhas is inconsistent throughout. Although he has a warrior's appearance, Lord Rama has the cool, collected demeanour that is described. On television, the blend gives him a passive appearance and doesn't work well.

Additionally hurting the cause are the visual consequences. prabhas occasionally conveys a hard, artificial vibe from the neck down. prabhas is fine and is basically okay in a few emotionally charged scenes. Sita played by kriti sanon barely passes muster. She has less screen time and less content to explore, to start with. While she doesn't reveal anything, kriti sanon falls short of making the kind of impact that would make her role as the iconic character stick in people's minds.
Saif ali Khan plays Lankesh, a.k.a. Ravan, and that's not even the end of it. He overacts as though he's portraying a villain from a big-budget film. It deviates from the source material so drastically that the character looks hardly recognised. It appears as though he just left the sets of Om Raut's last movie, Tanhaji, in which he portrayed the villain. After a while, the antics get grating, and his behaviour seems absurd if one is reminded of Ravana from the traditional Ramayana.
