The telugu film industry's drug nexus took a new step. The authorities detained well-known producer KP Choudhary in connection with a drug trafficking investigation after he purchased the telugu rights to Superstar Rajinikanth's Kabali. Choudhary was taken into jail by the Cyberabad police, who also found cocaine on him. KP Choudhary reportedly resided in goa for the past few months. The hyderabad police were looking into the nexus when they learned of his involvement with the drug trade.
They detained him right away and seized cocaine. There are still some unknowns regarding the arrest. The police agency is anticipated to release an official statement soon. This is not the first time a tollywood star has been detained in connection with a drug trafficking case. In the past, we have witnessed the police questioning people like puri Jagannath, Charmme, Rana Daggubati, ravi Teja, Mumaith Khan, Navdeep, Nandu, Tarun, and tanish in relation to drug trafficking.
Police discovered that Chowdary's clients are dispersed throughout the business and cinema worlds, including tollywood and Kollywood. He bought ganja from Petit Ebuzer, a Nigerian, and used it for both his own use and to supply his friends. Additionally, he has ties to drug lord Edwin Nunes, who HNEW had apprehended. According to DCP Rajendranagar R Jagadishwar Reddy, the items confiscated include 90 cocaine sachets weighing 82.75 grammes, Rs. 2.05 lakh in cash, his Mercedes, and mobile phones, altogether worth Rs. 78.50 lakh.
