March Box Office - Magic Happened or Not ?
RRR was re-released over the second weekend in an attempt to capitalise on the oscar buzz, but it had little success. Along with other films launched on the same day, such as Mr. kalyan and Dochevarevaru, CSI Sanatan by Adi saikumar was a failure.
The liberation of Kabza and Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi happened during the third week. The creation of Kabza was influenced by KGF, but it fell flat with audiences and received harsh criticism for its phoney donations. Another unsuccessful film was naga Shaurya and Avasarala's Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi.
Rangamarthanda and Das Ka Dhamki competed for viewers' interest in the fourth week. Although Rangamarthanda, helmed by Krishnavamsi, was well-received by critics, it did poorly at the box office. Due to the hype surrounding it, Das Ka Dhamki, starring Vishwak Sen, had one of his greatest opening weekends ever. It was regarded as a success after managing to break even. The film Geeta Sakshiga, which was launched that week, was a failure.
The film dasara was aired at the end of March. Huge openings were seen for this big-budget comedy starring Nani, but its full potential won't be apparent for several weeks. Parari, Satyam Vatha Dharmam Chera, Veerakhadgam, and Agent narasimha were among the other films that failed that week.
March saw the debut of 25 films overall, but only Balagam and Das Ka Dhamki were deemed successes. In April, the viability of dasara will be determined.
