Famed indian director SS rajamouli is known for producing action-packed, emotionally charged blockbusters like the Baahubali series and RRR. rajamouli has been transparent about how he assesses his work and makes sure he is aware of how his audience views his films. The director thinks that certain viewers can find it difficult to convey their thoughts on a picture, making it impossible for him to determine its level of success. He watches his movies in theatres to avoid this and watch the audience members' reactions.
Rajamouli said in a conversation with The New Yorker that "Understanding how my viewers feel about my films is essential to me. But I don't think many people can communicate their preferences in a good way. They stop having that impression the moment you put them in a position to evaluate your movie." rajamouli acknowledged that he frequently rewatches his movies to verify that his evaluations of them are accurate.
He went on to say, "The best approach for me to evaluate my movies is to watch them with the audience and see how they are responding. I occasionally go to theatres that have ten, thirty, forty, or even one hundred showings of my movies to see how people react to them." The director also admitted that his storytelling is influenced by the indian epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. While reading these tales as a youngster, he learnt to appreciate the character conflicts and their motivations as he got older.
