Same Coincidence, But No Advantage
Coming soon from dhanush is the Tamil-Telugu bilingual film Vaathi/Sir, which was helmed by venky Atluri. The big premiere of the movie is scheduled for february 17. In a significant ceremony yesterday night, the movie's trailer was released. dhanush plays a teacher against the education mafia in the film. Another bilingual Varisu/Vaarasudu was released last month during the Sankranthi season. Similar to Vaathi, that movie's producer in telugu was dil Raju (Naga Vamshi). The same telugu director who directed Varisu (Vamsi Paidipally) also directed Vaathi. His name is venky Atluri.
Varisu performed admirably at the box office in tamil despite its lacklustre subject matter, thanks to Vijay's celebrity and the festival's favourable timing. Vaathi, however, lacks that benefit. On a typical friday next week, it will be released. To have a significant impact at the box office, the movie's substance must strongly resonate with audiences. Amazing and well-presented, the trailer is impressive. The dialogues are both thought-provoking and whistle-worthy. dhanush seemed to be at ease. We must determine whether dhanush can be successful without the benefit of the holiday season.
Dhanush is also planning to release his Captain Miller movie on a parallel note in tollywood by Summer.
