The talk has been described as "a damp squib," "twee and insipid narrative," and many other things. When it debuted in 2009, avatar was in fact a breathtaking marvel. Since 13 years have passed, the identical visuals don't make the audience's experience any more amazing. They were supposed to be engrossed by the story, but they weren't.

The movie lasts 3 hours and 12 minutes, which can be too long for a restless audience. Too few heart-pounding moments prevent the audience from being hypnotised and losing track of time.
