bollywood has more than ever been concerned about the boycott trend. A portion of internet users have been using the hashtag #Boycott for the past few months in response to movies that are purportedly produced by a "anti-national" team, star children, or have content that is in opposition to a certain faith. Following the pandemic, bollywood is already having trouble scoring a hit film. The boycott tendencies are currently influencing numerous films' opening weekend box office results. Laal Singh Chaddha and Liger are the most recent casualties of this boycott trend.

These movies would have at least received strong premieres if there had been no demand for a boycott. However, strong boycott movements against these movies prevented many people from going to the movies on opening day. As a result, both movies were commercial failures. Brahmastra, Ranbir Kapoor's film, is currently under fire. The Boycott gang urges people not to see these movies because they star 'nepo' children Ranbir and alia bhatt and are made by karan johar, the 'nepo' godfather.

The internet community also uncovered past interviews in which alia stated that she doesn't give a damn about the rest of the audience as long as they come to the theatres to see her movie. She claims there is no need to have the name of India's president in mind in a previous interview. The Boycott group is urging people not to watch this movie by sharing these videos widely on social media. One of the most expensive films ever produced in indian cinema is Brahmastra. bollywood will undoubtedly be in serious trouble if the Boycott group has any impact on it. Brahmastra, a movie directed by Ayan Mukherjee, will debut on september 9 in theatres everywhere.
