"All the Films have..." - Alia Bhatt
In addition to promoting her upcoming movie Darlings, Raazi actress alia bhatt is making her producing debut with the dark comedy, which she bankrolled through her production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions, which bears the name of one of her favourite movies, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. alia recently spoke candidly on the box office success of recent South indian movies like kgf Chapter 2, Pushpa, and RRR, in which she also acted alongside ram charan and Jr. NTR.
She claimed that all South films have performed poorly at the box office and urged the public to be understanding of hindi movies. The Dear Zindagi actress remarked, "It's been a difficult year for indian cinema. hindi movies deserve a little more courtesy from us. We are gathered here today praising bollywood and hindi film. But are we including the successful movies this year? Their films haven't been successful, not even in the southern sector. Some of the movies have been successful, and they are excellent movies. However, starting with my movie Gangubai Kathiawadi, things over here have gone similarly well.
A good movie will always be successful, stated alia, adding the dull period in bollywood is a result of the industry's current post-pandemic state. She went on, "We are reevaluating which movies will be released straight on an OTT platform, which movies will first play in theatres, and what the typical customer behaviour is. Therefore, we are just now getting that. However, it does not signal the end of hindi film. This will not happen."
