Samrat Prithviraj: Box office echoes the craze!

Despite huge opposition, the way Emperor prithviraj has collected 10 crores on the first day is enough to prove that the audience is crazy about the film. Advance booking of the second and third day is also looking much better than the first day.

The period drama 'Samrat Prithviraj', directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, was dubbed a film on a political agenda. Although a history of the country was ridiculed a lot on social media, yet its huge impact is not visible on the collection of Emperor prithviraj on the first day. Despite the negative campaign, the way the film has collected collections, it seems to be a definite hit. It is estimated that on the first day, Emperor prithviraj has done business of about 10 crores at the domestic box office.

Whereas on Friday, june 3, three big films were released simultaneously at the box office. Out of this, hindi version of a major and tamil film vikram is also included. Samrat prithviraj has also been released in tamil and Telugu. Although the film has got only 200 screens. Most of the film's 10 crore collection is from hindi regions. Major has also pulled out a remarkable collection of two crores. While Samrat prithviraj is based on the life of prithviraj Chauhan, Major is also the true story of soldier sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred in the terrorist attacks on Mumbai. It can be clearly understood from the collection that the hindi audience has shown interest in watching both the films according to their scale.

Keep this in mind while comparing vikram with Prithviraj

As far as Vikram's collection is concerned - the box office nature of films made in tamil or South languages has always been different. There the culture of watching new films in theaters is much better and stronger, so their collection always comes out much bigger than in hindi regions. In terms of collections, Samrat prithviraj should be compared to the hindi version of vikram instead of the tamil version. The tamil version of vikram has earned 25 crores. This collection is also not very big if you look at the block busters of Tamil. While Pushpa: The Rise, RR R and kgf 2 had made tremendous money in their native languages, in hindi also the films of all the big stars of bollywood were dusted one by one. An example of a disaster film like 83 is in front of pushpa alone.

Akshay Kumar has played the lead role in Samrat Prithviraj. His opposite is Manushi Chillar. While Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, sakshi tanwar and manav vij are in other roles. Another best thing for non-holiday release emperor prithviraj is that it has been made tax free in many states. Saturday's advance booking report is better than the first day. It is believed in the trade circle that the collection of the film can be tremendous on saturday and Sunday.

Prithviraj is not benefited by negative campaign

It should also not be forgotten that The kashmir Files also did modest business for the first two days but after that the collection of the film is history in itself. It proved to be the country's highest-grossing film. The kashmir Files and Samrat prithviraj have one thing in common. The campaign shown against both the films is almost the same. Hate campaign. And hate campaigns also have their own effect in PR. The more negative or positive discussion there is on the film - the more the interest in the audience about the respective film increases. Karni Sena had expressed similar protest against Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavat, despite the film proved to be a blockbuster and managed to make a record at the hindi box office. Whereas only a minor torso was opposing it.

The collection of the first day, the improvement in advance booking in comparison to the first day, is a clear indication that prithviraj is seeing business benefits from the hate campaign. There is an increase of 15 to 25 percent in advance booking of the film on the second day in metros. According to some reports, 70 percent of the tickets for the hindi version of prithviraj in chennai alone are booked for the second day. Whereas in tamil Nadu the film is only on a few screens. Even after the riots that broke out in Kanpur, the way an ideological lobby is projecting the film as a context – looks commercially beneficial.
