Gehraiyaan, directed by Shakun Batra and starring deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and ananya Panday, has been making waves in town for a variety of reasons. While the amazing ensemble cast has managed to capture the audience's attention, Gehraiyaan has also been the buzz of the town for its personal sequences and storyline, which have earned mixed reviews. Interestingly, while dealing with the media during the promotions, deepika opened up about the personal scenes and stressed that Gehraiyaan isn't marketing intimacy at any point.
Deepika further stated that the Sakun Bhatra directed film is about much more than just intimacy. "At no point was intimacy the selling point for the picture," she stated. Hopefully, after seeing the film, the audience will notice. Intimacy exists solely to be authentic to the characters and their journey, as well as to the fact that these are real people with real connections and real feelings. And intimacy is one of the stuff to prove, albeit it isn't the only thing in the picture."
Furthermore, deepika has been singing its praises for her co-stars and says that while filming Gehraiyaan, she made lifelong friends. "As an artist, I'm looking forward to some of my sequences with Siddhant Chaturvedi, Naseerudin Shah, and Rajat Kapoor. It might be thrilling to perform in front of all those actors at times. Some of the scenes done with these performers are the most memorable for me professionally, as an actress.
