Witness IFFK World Cinema for 8 days!!

The 26th kerala international Film festival (IFFK), which has been postponed due to Covid expansion, will be held from march 18 to 25 in Thiruvananthapuram, culture minister Saji Cherian said. 



The rescheduling was also announced through the official instagram handle managed by kerala State Chalachitra Academy. chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the fair on Friday, march 18 at 6 pm at Nishagandhi Auditorium.



The eight-day festival will feature over 180 films in 14 theaters. The festival has an international competition section for films from Asian, African, and Latin American countries, a world cinema section featuring the latest films from people including Masters, indian cinema Now, and malayalam cinema Today. A retrospective tribute to the late actor venu -Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">nedumudi venu has also been included this time.




The IFFK was held usually in  December each year, showcasing critically acclaimed international and regional films in several categories, including international Competition, malayalam cinema Today, indian cinema Now, World cinema, amongst leading filmmakers Including Retrospectives, Country Focus, and more.




One of the highlights of the festival is the Films from Conflict package, which captures life in conflict-ridden countries. Films from Afghanistan, Burma, and Kurdistan are included. The FIPRESKI Critics' Week will feature a package of films that have won FIPRESCI awards at various international festivals over the past two years.
