ED grinds Aishwarya Rai for 5 hours
Aishwarya was taken into custody for question by ED and was grilled for 5 hours.
Aishwarya Rai is one of the top yesteryear heroines of Bollywood. She has humongous star dom throughout the country and has made some repute for herself over the years with movies. However, there are times when such big celebrity finds themselves in the middle of the some issue or the other.
Being so, aishwarya finds herself in one such position. She was summoned earlier by Enforcement Directorate over allegations of violations of Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) in connection with the panama paper leak case. She was called earlier by Nov 9, 2021 but she had skipped it then. She was called again and this time she showed up. She is currently facing accusations of stashing wealth abroad by violatinng forex rule.
She was questioned tediously by the ED. The questioning went on for over 5 hours. It has been said that she was questioned about her foriegn travel history, deposits made in foreign banks and etc,
Panama papers was leaked in 2016 which had over 300 famous indian celebrities. aishwarya Rai’s father in law, amitabh bachchan was one among them however he denied all the accusations.
