Earlier, karan Johar's Koffee with karan talk show had triggered many controversies and was last aired on march 17th, 2019. The show had already completed 6 seasons and it is considered India's second-longest-running talk show which started from 2004 to 2019. The first talk show was Doordarshan's Phool Khile Hain Gulshan which started from 1972 to 1993. Many fans were eagerly waiting for the next season, but karan surprised his fans with the new talk show titled Koffee Shots With Karan. The first episode had started with the star cast of The Empire which was telecasted in Disney+Hotstar. This had also started controversy since it seems to glorify Mughals.
