MURUNGAKKAI CHIPS MOVIE REVIEW - CRINGE MAX ADULT COMEDY

SIBY JEYYA
Arjun (Shantanu Bhagyaraj) marries Shanthi (Athulya), but his grandfather forbids him from touching her on the first night, as is customary in their family. This is a test for arjun to establish his self-discipline and honesty by not touching, kissing, or romancing Shanthi on their first night together. His family wealth of Rs.300 crores would be sold to an orphanage if he fails this test and falls in love with his wife. The core of Murungakkai Chips is whether arjun passed this test or failed to live up to his family's expectations.

Murungakkai Chips is a purely adult-oriented film, and the writing reflects this. The film is intended to be an entertaining adult comedy about a married couple's first night together, but whether it actually entertains with humor is a question mark. The film contains a slew of obscene sequences in the name of comedy and entertainment, and it is quite taxing on the viewer's patience. The entire yogi Babu - Munishkanth - Ravindhar - Mayilsamy - manobala chapter adds no value and appears to be a completely new track, deviating from the movie's basic idea. Even if those sequences were removed, the impact would remain the same. I'd like to know if the entire scenario was amusing to the Murungakkai Chips crew.

The first night's events are artificially manufactured, notably Athulya's discussions with her pals, which seem amateurish and terrible. Because of its idea, Murungakkai Chips had the potential to be an interesting comedy picture, but the way it was written, shot, and packaged makes it a complete snoozer. The bulk of comedies are uninterestingly produced, and even non-intellectuals may not find the film amusing. To keep the audience engaged, the screenplay required exciting moments. One can pick and choose the one-liners and responses that made the audience laugh out loud, hoping the picture had more of these jokes.

Shantanu makes an impression in a light-hearted role, and his casual and vivacious performance is one of the film's few redeeming qualities. His dance moves get him full marks once more. On screen, Athulya is attractive, and she performs admirably, striking a solid rapport with Shanthnu. yogi Babu, Munishkanth, Ravindhar, Manobala, Mayilsamy, and madhumitha are all fine in their performances, but their sequence isn't very amusing, save for a few real-life references from Ravindhar.

Dharan Kumar's songs have a cheerful tone to them, and the background score contributes moderately. The cinematography by Ramesh chakravarthy and the editing by Jomin appear to be functional.

Murungakkai Chips is nothing more than a montage of dull scenes masquerading as comedy and enjoyment!
