This is not the first time that protests have been staged against cinematic films that have exaggerated the Jay Bhim affair.

Prior to this, PMK has also protested against films like baba starring Rajini and Sarkar starring Vijay.

Jai Bhim film, which was released live on OTT on the eve of Diwali, was critically acclaimed but also controversial.

The bjp has strongly objected to the film, saying it features scenes that accuse the Vanniar caste.

Thus, despite the fact that the PMK-winner is making a fuss over the issue, on the other hand, parties including Vizika and the Communists are extending their support to Surya.

Similarly, fans and film celebrities trended the hashtag #westandwithsuriya on social media in support of Surya.

This is not the first time that protests have been staged against pornographic and cinematic films that have blown the whistle on the Jay Bhim affair.

Prior to this, PMK also protested against films like baba starring Rajini and Sarkar starring Vijay.

Especially in the 2002 film baba starring Rajini, PMK raised the banner that there were too many scenes with his smoking.

Theaters erupted as protests erupted in northern tamil Nadu.

Following this, the government had recorded a protest against the film poster featuring actor Vijay smoking a cigarette.

All of this was said to be harmful to the community and aimed at misleading the youth.

It was seen as a healthy thing.

But now, in the case of jai Bhim, PMK's opposition and controversy are said to be political propaganda by the party to show their presence in the midst of electoral defeat.
