This movie was jointly funded by actor nithin and his father sudhakar Reddy under Sresht Movies banner. The movie is written and directed by V.V.Vinayak. The movie's script was written by Veligonda srinivas and kona venkat wrote the film's dialogues.
Mani Sharma scored the music and Amol Rathod handled the camera. gautham Raju provided the cuts. The movie also featured Rajendra Prasad, mahesh manjrekar, vennela Kishore, and Brahmanandam. Now, in a latest interview, the script writer of the movie Veligonda srinivas revealed an interesting fact about the movie. He said he wrote the script of 'Akhil' keeping ram charan in mind and not akhil Akkineni.
He said, "I wrote the script with ram charan in mind. He was already a huge star and then due to some unknown reasons the movie went to akhil and we had to change the story according to his image. We need to highlight Akhil's character and that's where everything went wrong. The movie's result would have been totally different if ram charan acted in AKhil. The movie would have been a blockbuster."
