Madonna Sebastian Plays Female leads in Vijay 65th Film
Reportedly even before the release of Thalapathy Vijay's 64th film, master, reports about the cast and crew of his 65th film are already doing rounds on the internet. Acclaimed-filmmaker AR murugadoss will be directing Vijay's upcoming film, which is likely to be bankrolled by sun Pictures. The latest buzz in the industry is that actress Madonna Sebastian, who was last seen in Mani Ratnam's production venture, Vaanam Kottatum, has been roped in to play the female lead. Sources say that murugadoss discussed about the project to Madonna over a video call and the latter was quite impressed with the script. There will be two heroines in the film and Madonna has been finalised for one the roles. An official announcement regarding the project is likely to be made on Vijay's birthday, which falls on june 22. A few days ago, there were also reports that composer S Thaman, who is basking in the success of his latest telugu films ala vaikunthapurramloo and disco raja, is all set to score tunes for the film. If this happens, then it will be Thaman's first film with Vijay.
The shoot is likely to begin in August.
vijay and Murugadoss's last three collaborations Thuppakki, Kaththi, and Sarkar have been major box office hits. Speculations were rife that their upcoming film will be a sequel to 2012 blockbuster film, Thuppakki. However, cinematographer Santosh Shivan recently took to social media to clarify it as rumours. Meanwhile, vijay is currently awaiting the release of his much-anticipated film, Master. He will be playing the role of a college professor in the film. Moreover Dhanush's asuran, which released in 2019, turned out to be a blockbuster with over Rs 100 crore in the bank. Many top production houses across the country fought for the remake rights of the film as it garnered good response from both audience as well as the critics.
The latest buzz in the industry is that film is all set to be remade in Chinese. According to multiple reports, a popular production house from china has expressed its interest to buy the remake rights of the film and the makers are apparently considering the offer.However, when IndiaToday.in contacted the producer of the film, kalaipuli s thanu, he dismissed it as rumours. "No one approached me for the remake rights. These are baseless rumours. We have plans to release the dubbed version of the film in china but it will happen only after normalcy returns."It is worth mentioning that Rajamouli's Baahubali and Rajinikanth's 2.0 have earlier been dubbed in Chinese.
