A forerunner of new age filmmaking, balaji Mohan made his directorial debut with the smash blockbuster "Kaathalil Sothappuvadhu Eppadi." He then directed the well-received movies "Maari" with dhanush and Kaajal Aggarwal and "Vayai Mudi Pesavum" with Dulquer Salmaan. He also worked on the National Award-winning film "Mandela," which was helmed by Madone Ashwin and starred yogi Babu.

Balaji Mohan wedded Aruna in 2012 after falling in love with her while filming his first movie; however, the couple eventually split. In an interview a few weeks back, telugu TV star Kalpikaa Ganesh said that balaji Mohan had secretly wed actress Dhanyaa Balakrishna. She said that the director was manipulating his wife and would not let her perform in or promote her previous telugu film roles.

The madras high court has received a plea from balaji Mohan. "I have directed movies including How I Fall in love, Maari, and Maari 2," the petition reads. On january 23rd of last year, I wed Dhanya Balakrishnaa, an actor who has appeared in movies like "7 aam Arivu" and "Raaja Raani." An actress from telangana named Kalpika Ganesh, who performs in web series, has posted videos on YouTube to propagate slander against my spouse and I. She posted about it on social networks as well.
