Farmers across tamil Nadu experienced double happiness on the auspicious day of pongal as financial assistance was directly credited to their bank accounts under a special initiative announced by chief minister M.K. Stalin. The timely support, delivered through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, added to the festive cheer and provided much-needed relief to the farming community during the harvest season.

On the occasion of pongal, a festival that celebrates agriculture and farmers, the state government ensured that monetary benefits reached beneficiaries without delay or intermediaries.
