CISF Raising Day: Everything you need to know!!!

Protecting the nation's infrastructure and assets is made possible in large part by the Central Industrial Security Force, or CISF. The Central Industrial Security Force handles everything, from providing security to making sure the country's properties are protected. To honor the day the CISF was founded, people celebrate CISF Raising Day. The Department of Space, the Department of Atomic Energy, the airports, the delhi Metro, the ports, the historical sites, and the fundamental sectors of the indian economy—such as coal, mining, electricity, natural gas, petroleum and natural gas, and steel—are among the strategic establishments that the CISF protects.

History: In industry and other vital sectors, there was an increasing demand for specialized security troops. The Central Industrial Security Force was founded in 1968 in response to expanding requirements under the CISF Act. They support the protection of public sector initiatives, industrial facilities, and government infrastructure projects. The Central Industrial Security Force had just 2,800 troops and three battalions when it first began operations. However, it currently employs 165000 people, making it one of the biggest and most powerful security units in the nation.

Significance: The purpose of this day is to honor and recognize the sacrifices and hard work that the CISF personnel have put in to protect the country's most important resources. There are celebrations, cultural events, and parades to commemorate this auspicious day. As part of the celebrations for CISF Raising Day, blood donation and health check-up camps are also held across the nation.
