The floods are wreaking havoc in Assam. The lives of more than 8 lakh people have been disturbed due to the floods. Two villages of Jamunamukh district of assam were completely washed away. More than 500 families of both the villages are forced to live on railway tracks. This was the only place left at the height of the whole area and this is where these people have taken shelter.

According to the report of NDTV, nothing was left in Changjurai and Patia Pathar villages. The people living here lost everything. More than 500 families of these two villages are living near the railway tracks. These villagers say that they have not received much help from the state government and the district administration in the last five days. These people are saving their lives only with the help of tarpaulins and plastics.

The condition has gone from bad to worse. Many people are not getting even plastic sheets. Many families are living under the same plastic sheet, there is nothing to eat. Monwara Begum told that he was living under the open sky for three days. By taking a loan, he bought the sheet, under which 5 families are living.

Beauty Bordoloi told that her house too got washed away in the flood. There was a standing paddy crop in his fields, everything was ruined. Like beauty, countless people do not know anything about their tomorrow. Whether they will survive or not, this worry is also being eaten.

Nasibur rahman told that after about four days help arrived from the state government. Hundreds of people are living only by eating once a day and drinking dirty water.


29 districts of assam affected by floods

Assam's Haflong tourist spot has been completely destroyed. 29 districts of the state are flood affected. The lives of about 8 lakh people in 2,585 villages have been disturbed. Landslides are also taking place due to pre-monsoon rains and 14 people have lost their lives so far. Teams like Army, Paramilitary Force, NDRF etc. are engaged in flood relief work. people are being rescued with the help of boats and helicopters.
