Where in india are the most factories located?

The fifth-largest economy in the world is found in India. india will have a GDP of $3.71 trillion in 2023. The entire worth of all products and services generated in a nation is its GDP. The backbone of our economy is the nation's 2.5 lakh industries. An essential component of the nation's economic growth is the industrial sector. Thus, the government of india carries out an "Annual survey of Industries" each year to gain an understanding of the state of the industry in the nation. The figures from those large factories that are registered with the indian government are provided by this survey.
The study displays the number of workers in those factories, the amount of water and electricity used, and the annual performance of those factories. Factories registered under the Beedi and Cigar workers Act of 1966 or the Factories Act of 1948 are included in this survey.
In the 2021–2022 survey, two different kinds of samples were collected: state and central samples. All of the factories in a few less developed states and union territories are included in the central sample. These comprise the andaman and Nicobar Islands, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Mizoram, and Nagaland. The state sample includes factories from every state and union territory that exist. For every state, a different sample is prepared.
