Kalyan Singh made eight U-turns on the Babri collapse...

In the ayodhya dispute, kalyan Singh assumed the position of chief minister in 1991. Following this, kalyan was at the heart of the ayodhya controversy for ten years. Experts refer to this as kalyan Singh's "best time" or "peak period." newspaper top pages carried assertions made by kalyan regarding ayodhya during this time. His remark sparked a great deal of discussion both domestically and internationally, and columnists used to try to interpret it. kalyan was also dubbed the actual hero of ayodhya and the ram of Kaliyuga during this time. The BJP, his party, effectively used Kalyan's name. Two grounds existed for taking use of it:

Kalyan was an OBC community firebrand and leader. The party did not have a leader in the hindi belt like kalyan at that time. kalyan was instrumental in the 500-year-old Babri Mosque's demolition. Babri would have fallen quite hard if kalyan hadn't been there. But kalyan himself had to pay a price for this as well. He had to forfeit both his post and party.

14 years after Babri was demolished, kalyan Singh apologized to the Muslims. The Deoband clergy, however, were not forgiving of Kalyan. kalyan and Mulayam had been contesting the elections at that time.
