Marburg virus is spreading fast in the African country..!?

In the African country of Equatorial Guinea, Marburg virus has wreaked havoc. So far around nine people have died so far due to the virus. A lot of people are sick. Symptoms of Marburg virus infection are said to be similar to those of the Ebola virus. The patient has a fever and chest pain. As the infection progresses, the condition worsens and the patient dies. The WHO has issued a report saying that this is the first time such a large-scale outbreak of the Marburg virus has occurred.
 They are identifying, isolating, and treating people infected with the virus.How dangerous the Marburg virus can be seen by the fact that WHO has taken measures to prevent the spread of the disease by deploying health emergency experts, infection control teams, laboratories, and communication support systems in areas affected by the Marburg virus.
WHO Regional director Dr. Matshidiso Moiti says the Marburg virus is spreading rapidly and warns that the mortality rate of its infection can reach up to 88 percent. Marburg virus also belongs to the widespread Ebola virus family. Talking about the symptoms of this viral infection, the patient has a high fever and headache. Many patients may also develop hemorrhagic symptoms within seven days of infection. The virus is transmitted from bats to humans. It spreads to others through contact with an infected patient. There is no cure or vaccine for this virus yet, but timely treatment can save a patient's life.
