These reasons are most responsible for death due to cancer, most indians have these problems
Cancer is one of the leading causes of death globally, with millions of people dying each year from different types of cancer. In a recent study, researchers tried to find out about the possible causes of death due to cancer. For the three reasons that researchers have highlighted, these problems have been seen more in India's large population.
In this research published in The Lancet journal, experts said that people with smoking, alcohol consumption, and high body mass index (BMI) have a higher risk of cancer-related death. Researchers say that if the rising mortality rate of cancer is to be controlled at the global level, people need to be especially alert about these three factors.

The researchers came to this conclusion after analyzing data from the 2019 Global Burden of Disease, Injuries and Risk Factors (GBD) study. In this study, all types of cancer and risk factors related to its death were studied. Worldwide, smoking, alcohol use, and high BMI were seen as major factors in increasing cancer-related death statistics, the researchers said. Statistics show that in the year 2019, about 44.4 percent of cancer deaths worldwide have seen these three patients play a major role. Researchers say that all people need to be careful about this.
According to the World health Organization (WHO), one DALY equals one less year of healthy life. For this study, the researchers tried to understand the risk factors in terms of DALY i.e. Disability Adjusted Life Year. In an analysis of studies based on this, researchers found tobacco use in men to be a major risk factor for cancer-related DALY.
Christopher Murray, director of the Institute for health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the university of Washington in the US, says this research suggests that the burden of cancer is a globally significant public health challenge that is increasing year by year. The researchers said that by taking such risks seriously, policymakers need to make efforts to prevent them. The researchers analyzed the study and found that tobacco and alcohol use, unprotected sex and dietary risks, and increasing obesity among people are all significantly associated with increased cancer risk and death worldwide, controlling for all these factors. very necessary.

Experts report that these risk factors have been identified in both men and women. cancer sufferers who have such risk factors also have a reduced chance of surviving longer than other patients.

In the conclusion of the study, the scientists said that due to tobacco-alcohol consumption and high BMI, cancer patients accounted for the deaths of 2.8 million men compared to 1.5 million women. health experts say that if these three are controlled, then not only the cases of cancer but also the death toll due to it can be reduced in the future.
