Overwhelming dengue cases in the system begs the question: Janab Aise Kaise? in the state of Uttar Pradesh, in spite of being fully programmed to deal with a potential third wave of COVID-19. The mortality toll has risen to 63 from viral fever and dengue fever in Uttar Pradesh's firozabad district. According to a government notice issued here on friday night, a 12-year-old child died while being treated for dengue fever at Medical College.
More than 154 sufferers had been admitted to the clinic in the last 24 hours, Dr Sangeeta Aneja, the college's principal, reported. Currently, 255 patients are being treated in the medical college hospital's various wards, she added, adding that 153 additional patients were discharged on saturday morning following effective treatment. Meanwhile, Deepak, the 12-year-old girl's brother, has sued the hospital staff for negligence during his sister's therapy, which resulted in her demise.
Clearly, in the data-face of the dengue outbreak, pressure is an uprising on city hospitals, and the healthcare system is collapsing. The deceased's family also staged a protest against the employees, alleging that they had been beaten up by them. The case is being reviewed, according to Station house Officer (Uttar) anand Kumar, who said there was a skirmish between the family members and the workers.
