The school education Department has initiated an admission drive called 'Badi Bata,' starting today. The primary objective of this campaign is to identify and enroll children who are involved in child labor, ensuring they receive the education they are entitled to.

To achieve this, schools have been instructed to collaborate closely with various local organizations and community groups. This includes village organizations, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), members of the Amma Adarsha Patashala committees, parents, and alumni. By involving a diverse array of stakeholders, the department aims to create a supportive network that encourages school enrollment and attendance.

The 'Badi Bata' initiative underscores the importance of community involvement in tackling the issue of child labor and promoting education. It is a concerted effort to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive educational environment.

Apart from promoting admissions through both online and offline activities, government schools have been directed to implement readiness programs designed to foster interest in school and education among children. These programs aim to create an engaging and welcoming environment for new and returning students.

In preparation for the upcoming academic year, schools are also required to ensure that all necessary materials are ready by june 10. This includes textbooks, notebooks, workbooks, and stitched uniforms. By having these resources prepared in advance, the schools aim to provide a smooth and organized start to the school year.

Additionally, parents are to be informed about various special benefits available to their children who attend government schools. These benefits include the possibility of admission to IIIT Basara, a prestigious institution, and fee reimbursement for higher education institutions, which can significantly alleviate the financial burden on families and encourage them to prioritize their children's education.

Following the admission drive, which concludes on june 11, a week-long series of activities is scheduled. These activities are designed to further integrate students into the school environment, reinforce the importance of education, and engage both students and parents in the school community. Through these efforts, the school education Department aims to boost enrollment and retention rates, ensuring that more children have access to quality education.
