Maldives: Remembering the Operation which finished in 18 hours...

The maldives was experiencing a deteriorating scenario throughout time. It was the height of terrorist terror. It was the President's house taken over by terrorists. The average people were plundering a great deal of stuff. Looting also extended to banks. india was the only country the maldives could expect to help. Conversely, the indian Air Force's Elevation Second 76 aircraft had departed from the agra Air Force in a matter of hours.

The 17th Parachute Field Regiment and the 6th Battalion of the Parachute Regiment, led by Brigadier Farooq Bulsara, arrived safely at Hulhule, Ireland, after traveling 2000 kilometres in a matter of hours. The assumption that terrorists do not control Hulhule Island proved to be accurate. Hulhule was encircled by darkness at that moment. Within minutes of the IL 76 aircraft's landing, 150 men and numerous jeeps emerged. Another indian jet lands shortly after that. There was a lot of gunfire when indian soldiers arrived in Male. Their coup attempt was thwarted in a matter of hours when the terrorists were eliminated. But Brigadier Farooq Bulsara arrived in the safe home close to President Gayoom. Gayoom refused to travel to Ireland, despite the Brigadier's urging that the President do so. According to President Gayoom, he needed to visit the National service Headquarters. Gayoom first praised india over the phone to prime minister Rajiv gandhi after arriving there.
